About the Event
This session will look at how we can use the sometimes forgotten tools of caring to create safe spaces for people with disabilities to become who they are as adults, as sexual beings and as fully human. It's important that we take the time to evaluate our attitudes towards disability, towards sexuality and towards individual agency in regards to the people we serve. This workshop will look both at what we need to do in order to teach people with disabilities that they are safe with us and to welcome and foster healthy adulthood and adult relationships.
